Wow, I really like this. Flower is quite sharp and the exposure is well balanced. I would prefer if the corners weren't so... blurry/distorted, but then again it does keep focus on the flower. Good photo, though.

The magnifying glass seems to have distorted the corners. Reflection on the water is kinda distracting IMO, you shouldda used a polarizer as well.

Nice focus on the center of the flower (flower bud). Wish same focus would show on the end of those white parts of the flower too (especially on its left side for us the viewers). The green thing in the foreground of the actual flower is slightly distracting (at the dead center of the composition). Agree with Carlos on the top section too. Very nice flower arrangement otherwise!

The comp (ans exposure) is great. I first thought the angle should have been lower, but that would miss the yellow inside. That, together with the leaves and white pearls at the front make a great picture. I wish that the close part of the flower would have been inside the DOF. Not sure if you used a flash here? If you did, it may have been to strong. The flower looks like it has been pasted. The background could be better, but is fine with me.

Thanks everyone for comments and votes  Martin777 Why not? I didn't had much choice to make composition because a pot with lotus was pretty small and I didn't wanted to show borders of it. Also I wanted to show inside of flower and leafs underneath it with right sharpness.

With your description I almost wish you had included part of that scene, it would of made for a more interesting narrative rather than just a beautiful shot. I think if there was just this flower floating in a pot, being the most distinctly beautiful part of the shot, it would cause people to pause longer and apply a story to the image, as we are all prone to do. Beautiful shot, regardless, but I would have loved to see more of what you described!
